A free Coronary Screening Program for First Responders

40 seconds

One person dies every 40 seconds from a heart attack.

800,000

Over 800,000 patients will be treated for a heart attack this year in the United States.

10 seconds

Typical scan time is no longer than 10 seconds.

What is it?

Coronary artery calcium scoring is non-invasive and the examination is painless. The coronary arteries supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle. Calcium is a sign or marker of coronary artery disease. The calcium score provides an idea of the individual risk of significant heart disease in the next few years.

Who’s it For?

First responders with a previous history of coronary artery disease may not be appropriate for this examination. Men who are less than 30 years of age and women who are less than 35 years of age may proceed with testing.
